Ronaldo Finally Scores For Juventus After Long Wait

Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo scored for the very first time as a Juventus player in their home game against Sassuolo in a Serie A encounter on Sunday.
Ronaldo, who joined the Italian giants this season after completing a surprise move from Real Madrid, had gone three league games without scoring.

He has netted twice in the ongoing encounter, the opener coming in on the 50th minute after the visitors held strong throughout the first half, and the second in the 65th minute.

Cristiano Ronaldo has ended a 320-minute wait for his first Juventus goal by netting against Sassuolo.
The Portuguese superstar secured a €100 million (£89m/$116m) move to Turin over the summer after opting to bring a nine-year stint with Real Madrid to a close.
He arrived in Italy as one of the most prolific marksmen of all time, but has had to be patient in a bid to open his account for the Bianconeri.

That wait has now come to a close, with Ronaldo finding the target in his fourth Serie A outing.
His barren run had stretched beyond the 300-minute mark during a goalless first-half at the Allianz Stadium, but he did not have to wait long to make his mark after the interval.
In the 50th minute, he found himself in the right place at the right time to prod home.
Sassuolo made a mess of clearing their lines from a corner, with the ball rebounding kindly to Ronaldo off the post for the 33-year-old to tap into an empty net.
A trademark celebration was quickly wheeled out, with a clear sense of relief as Ronaldo went through a well rehearsed routine.
His effort from close range was his 28th shot on goal since joining Juventus, and it opened the floodgates.
Just over 10 minutes after recording his first goal for the club, Ronaldo had his second.

While his opener had been a little scruffy, the five-time Ballon d’Or looked more like his usual self when hitting the net again.
As Juve swept forward on the counter, Ronaldo’s searing pace took him to the edge of the box.
He required just one touch with his left foot after being picked out to fire a low drive into the bottom corner.
Khouma Babacar later struck in injury time for Sassuolo, with Douglas Costa also seeing red due to a second bookable offence.
It was too late for the visitors, however, as Juventus held on for a 2-1 victory that marks their fourth win in as many games this season.
They enjoy a three-point lead at the Serie A summit over Napoli, who briefly pulled level with a 1-0 win over Sampdoria on Saturday.
Juve will now expect plenty more goals to come from their star striker, with Ronaldo having recovered from slow starts during his time in Madrid to consistently blast past the 40-goal mark.

UEFA Champions League: Real Madrid vs Liverpool Full Match Report

UEFA Champions League: Real Madrid vs Liverpool Full Match Report

Image result for real madrid vs liverpool

Real Madrid won their third Champions League in three attempts thanks to a superb performance from Gareth Bale off the bench that saw him score twice. It was a game sold as Mo Salah versus Cristiano Ronaldo but when the former went off in the first half with a shoulder injury, it was up to someone else to be the hero. And Bale fit the bill.
Liverpool started better than their opponents and had a couple of chances early on as Real Madrid weathered the storm. Sergio Ramos collided with the Egyptian, Salah, and he fell to the ground in tears just minutes after it looked like he would carry on.
The exit of Liverpool's best player gave Real Madrid impetus and they were close on a number of occasions at the end of the first 45. Benzema did have the ball in the back of the next but he was offside in the build-up. And Liverpool survived the scare.

When they appeared for the second half, Real Madrid were even more lethal in attack. Isco hit the crossbar before Benzema pounced on a loose throw by Karius and rolled the ball home in what has to be one of the stranger goals you'll see in the Champions League final.
Sadio Mane, who stepped up when needed in place of Salah, poked home a header as he levelled matter just minutes after the opener.
If Benzema's goal was strange, Bale's was superb. He landed a chilena after coming off the bench to give Real Madrid the lead yet again and with minute remaining, he drove a shot towards the German keeper and it slipped through his hands.
That's how it would end for Real Madrid as they claim three in a row and 13 European Cups in total in their history.

The Champions League final in Kiev was supposed to be a clash between Mo Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Salah had done so much to get Liverpool to the Champions League final and many wondered whether Marcelo and Los Blancos could keep him quiet.
In the end, Real Madrid managed just that, with Sergio Ramos taking up the mantle of villain in chief.
The incident that stunned the world took place on 25 minutes of the Champions League final.
Sergio Ramos and Mohamed Salah tussled for the ball, the Real Madrid defender managed to fall on the Liverpool star’s shoulder with all his weight.

It will take some time for Salah’s injury to be confirmed, but the initial diagnosis is very bad indeed.
Salah has a dislocated shoulder according to a number of reliable sources.
These include the BBC and BT Sport.

If it is a dislocated shoulder, and Salah could not continue despite attempting to, then the Liverpool star is out of the World Cup in Russia.
It goes without saying that Salah is Egypt’s most important player and was the man who guided them to the World Cup.

Liverpool Agrees To Sell Salah To Madrid Or Barcelona Only On One Condition

The Egypt international has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer.
Real Madrid are ready for a shake-up at the end of the season, with club president Florentino Perez desperate to land a new Galactico.
And according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, who are well known for their outlandish transfer claims, Salah is Real’s top choice.
They also reckon the Liverpool winger is desperate to join the Spanish giants at the end of the season, despite only heading to Anfield last summer.
However, Don Balon add that the Reds are only willing to let Salah join Real if they win the Champions League this campaign.
Jurgen Klopp wants his star man focused on Liverpool until the end of the season and he’s promised the attacker that the Reds will listen to offers that arrive.

‘He doesn’t like to lose when we play card games, like Uno, he doesn’t like to lose,’ Zouma told Goal.

‘He is the same guy as before, he hasn’t changed. The other day, I went to his house and beat him. He was so, so, so angry.

Angel Di Maria Sentenced To A Year In Prison

Paris Saint-Germain forward Angel Di Maria has been  sentenced to one year in prison and will pay a £1.76million fine after admitting to tax fraud in Spain.

The Argentine winger defrauded the Spanish government a sum of £1.14million during his four-year spell with Real Madrid between 2010 and 2014.

Di Maria according to SunSports made a deal with authorities to avoid a trial at the Spanish Supreme Court – which found Lionel Messi guilty of similar crimes last year.

He admitted to two separate counts of fraud – each of which will carry a six-month sentence – and will pay 60 per cent fine on top of his arrears, coming to £1.76m.

The Argentinian is unlikely to spend any time behind bars as sentences of under two-years are usually suspended, providing the convicted has no criminal record. Di Maria’s charges relate to the player’s image rights with Los Blancos in 2012 and 2013.

According to Madrid prosecutors, the former Manchester United star transferred his rights to an Irish company owned by super-agent Jorge Mendes, via another holding in Panama.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho, Radamel Falcao, Ricardo Carvalho and Fabio Coentrao have all been investigated for related offences.

Barcelona ace Javier Mascherano also struck a similar deal do Di Maria’s earlier this year. Di Maria’s admission means he now avoids a high-profile court date.

Messi, also 29, and his father Jorge were each sentenced to 21 months in prison after being found guilty of owing £3.4m in tax payments in July last year. Ronaldo, 32, is due to appear in court on July 31 to face allegations he owes the Spanish tax man £13m.

The Real Madrid star faces no formal charge at this stage and is appearing in court as an ‘investigated person’ and could be fined as much as £37m if he is found guilty.
