The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is a 5G smartphone designed for users who want a large AMOLED display, strong performance, versatile cameras and long-term software support. It combines Samsung's Exynos 2500 chipset with a 120Hz display, a 4,900mAh battery and up to 512GB of internal storage.

Design and Build Quality

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE measures 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4 mm and weighs 193g. It has a glass front and glass back protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ with an aluminium frame around the body.

The phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and can withstand immersion in up to 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes under specified conditions.

Samsung offers the Galaxy S26 FE in Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio. It supports Nano-SIM and eSIM configurations, with up to two SIMs active at the same time.

The Galaxy S26 FE features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The panel has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a pixel density of around 385 ppi.

Samsung rates the display at up to 1,900 nits in high brightness mode, while testing recorded a maximum brightness of 1,268 nits.

The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and has a Mohs hardness level of 5. The 120Hz refresh rate provides smoother scrolling and animations compared with standard 60Hz displays.

Performance and Processor

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is powered by the Exynos 2500 chipset, built on a 3nm process. The processor uses a 10-core CPU configuration with a Cortex-X925 performance core and Cortex-A725 and Cortex-A520 efficiency cores.

Graphics are handled by the Xclipse 950 GPU. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and is available with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. It uses UFS 4.0 storage and does not have a microSD card slot.

In benchmark testing, the Galaxy S26 FE recorded 2,119,022 points in AnTuTu v10 and 2,535,201 points in AnTuTu v11. Geekbench results were 8,035 in version 6 and 7,704 in version 7, while the phone scored 5,275 in 3DMark Wild Life Extreme.

Camera Features

The Galaxy S26 FE has a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP telephoto camera with optical image stabilisation and 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide camera with a 123-degree field of view.

The main camera supports dual-pixel autofocus and OIS, while the telephoto camera provides additional reach for distant subjects without relying entirely on digital zoom.

Camera features include LED flash, HDR, panorama and Best Face. Video recording supports up to 8K at 24 or 30fps and 4K at up to 120fps. The camera system also supports gyro-EIS and HDR10+ video recording.

For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 12MP front-facing camera. It can record 4K video at 30 and 60fps as well as 1080p video at 30 and 60fps, with gyro-EIS and HDR10+ support.

Battery and Charging

The Galaxy S26 FE has a 4,900mAh lithium-ion battery. It supports 45W wired charging through USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge 2, with Samsung's listed charging performance reaching 69 per cent in 30 minutes.

The phone also supports 15W wireless charging, Qi2 compatibility and reverse wireless charging.

In testing, the Galaxy S26 FE recorded an active-use score of 14 hours and 49 minutes, indicating that the battery can provide substantial usage across different everyday activities.

Software and Features

The Galaxy S26 FE runs Android 17 with Samsung's One UI 9 interface. Samsung provides up to seven major Android updates for the device, giving it an extended software support period.

The phone also supports Samsung DeX and Samsung Wireless DeX. These features allow the device to provide a desktop-style interface when connected to a compatible display or accessory.
