Huawei Plans To Release A Smartphone With 3 Movable Cameras

Another patent documenting educates us concerning the plans envisioned by Huawei. Here, we can see a smartphone with three camera sensors that can move from the back to the front of the smartphone.
This patent describes a smartphone that is equipped with a configuration with three camera sensors. With a small twist of course, these are integrated into a rotating part of the phone. Which would most likely be motorized.

The concept is reminiscent of the Asus Zenfone 6 of 2019. The latter had rightly seduced us for its ability to offer shots with the same quality at the front as at the rear.

Thanks to its motorized sensor. A fairly similar solution had also been adopted by Samsung with its Galaxy A80

As always, however, this is only a patent that does not determine whether a smartphone will use a design like this or not. Huawei’s advantage is that this concept could be used by the brand as well as by Honor, which tends to take a little more risk than its parent company. It is however possible that this design is simply that of the new Huawei P Smart Z for 2020. But we will obviously have to wait to determine it. What do you think about this design? let us know in the comment box below.

Jumia Closes Down It Services in Rwanda.

According to Nairametrics, Africa’s e-commerce giant, Jumia, has continued to shut down its operations across Africa, with the latest being Rwanda.

The company recently sent a message to its Rwandan customers saying that We regret to inform you that Jumia will suspend our on-demand delivery operations in Rwanda on January 9th, 2020”. The company has been operating in the country over the past six years.

According to Financial Times, Jumia Rwanda will stop taking and processing customers’ orders starting from January 9th, 2020. For its prime subscribers, a separate arrangement will be made regarding their refunds.
Reason for the shutdown: The e-commerce company has recently been struggling to maintain profitability in its various markets, including Rwanda.

Managing Director of the Rwandan operation, Albert Munyabugingo, confirmed this. According to him, the financial struggle had informed the decision to shut down the Rwandan restaurant delivery service, as well as other operations across Africa.
Last month, the company shut down its Cameroonian operation. One week afterwards, it shocked many more people by announcing that it had also decided to shut down its Tanzanian operation. Altogether, the company has completely shut down operations in about six African markets including Gabon and Congo.

Also bear it in mind that,  the company recently divested from its Jumia Travel arm in Nigeria, selling it to Travelstart. Employees affected by this development will reportedly be offered placements in Travelstart, Jumia Food, and Jumia Mall.
We hope this shutdown effect doesn't reaches Nigeria.

ExpressVPN and HP Partnership to Enhance Cybersecurity

ExpressVPN and HP Partnership to Enhance Cybersecurity

A virtual private network (VPN) is a secure way of communication between computing devices and the internet. VPNs are used to guard online users against snooping, interference, and attacks. ExpressVPN is a select type of VPN that acts as proxy hence allowing online users to change their locations and use the internet anonymously from any part of the world.  ExpressVPN is now working with HP to make its users stay safe and secure online. Through the partnership between ExpressVPN and HP, many HP customers will be secured from the first day with ExpressVPN preinstalled in their machines.

About HP and Spectre x360 13
HP is a computer company that has been in the market for a long time with a variety of laptops and computers. The new HP Spectrex360 13 is 13% smaller compared to the previous generation, with a system Y dimension reduction of 23.4mm. The top border reduced by12mm and the bottom border reduced by 15mm. It will have ExpressVPN included in it and users will have a free 30-day VPN trial, which will enable them to have access to all ExpressVPN applications. When customers connect public Wi-Fi networks, they do not realize the security and privacy risks that they are bound to encounter, but through the use of ExpressVPN, all users will be safe when browsing the internet.

Inner Working of ExpressVPN
Through ExpressVPN TrustedServer Technology, all data will be deleted on every machine reboot since the VPN servers run on RAM alone. The server does not write on the hard drive to reduce data risk. On server startup, the whole software stack is reinstalled afresh. This technique being used by ExpressVPN is to make sure that all user information is safe and free from attacks. Deleting data on every machine reboot makes it hard for hackers to trace information on servers.

Security techniques of EpressVPN
ExpressVPN makes use of four key strategies to meet their security and privacy goals. The VPN makes the system very difficult to compromise by not providing real physical locations and critical information. The multi-factor authentication is also used to make sure it difficult for intruders to access devices and systems. The VPN minimizes potential damage by doing data encryption and hashing using MD5 techniques. To reduce potential damage, the company has put measures to ensure that if an attack occurs, the amount of time the system can remain compromised is minimized. It utilizes intrusion detection systems and automatic robots to detect attacks. The last technique is the validation method where the company invites security researchers to test the systems and get rewards for any problems that they find. The company also performs regular audits to make sure they comply with regulatory policies.

Other Ways to Protect Yourself from Cybercrime

Other than using ExpressVPN, there are multiple measures you can take to secure your online privacy, such as:

Create Strong Passwords
Secure all your online accounts with strong, unique passwords to prevent online attacks. Neglecting password security can expose you to hacking, especially when browsing from an unsecured, public Wi-Fi network. Create a strong and unique password for every account by utilizing a combination of letters (both lowercase and uppercase), numbers, and special characters like #%&!@, etc. It’s also a good idea to make your password long enough (a minimum of 16 characters) to make it difficult for hackers to crack using brute force attack.

Update your Devices
Always keep your computer, tablet, and smartphone up to date with the latest security patches. More often, updating a computing device seems annoying and time-consuming, but it can help to prevent cybercriminals from exploiting any bugs or security flaws that may have penetrated your device prior to the update.

Bottom Line
The ExpressVPN and HP partnership help users to securely browse the internet by hiding their IP address and location. The VPN encrypts communications using the 256-bit encryption to protect user-information when browsing the internet from public Wi-Fi networks. HP users can now stream HD videos on any device at the fastest speed since ExpressVPN has optimized its network to ensure fast speeds with no bandwidth limitations.  Moreover, users can unblock censored websites that are not available in certain countries. By using ExpressVPN, users can avoid spying and throttling by government, network administrators, and ISPs.

5 Reasons Why You Need A Website For Your Business

5 Reasons Why You Need A Website For Your Business

A website or web site is a collection of related network web resources, such as web pages, multimedia content, and so on. Every business needs a website.

There are lots of benefits to gain if your business has a functional website. The reasons why your business needs a website are outlined below.

1. Sales Increment
A website will enable you provide information about your products and services online. Consumers are increasingly searching online for information about products and services they are interested in buying.

A website enables you use techniques like Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Email Marketing (EM), and Social Media Marketing (SMM) to target consumers who are more likely to be interested in your products and services increasing conversion rate and boosting sales.
With SEO, SEM, and SMM you can drive targeted traffic to your website. Combine these with good landing pages and the only direction sales will be going is up. There are also other opportunities offered by the internet to increase sales, but you will never actualise their full potential if you do not have a website.
With a website you can also use emerging and fast growing marketing techniques like Affiliate Marketing and Influencer Marketing to get other people to recommend your products and services online.
These influencers and affiliate marketers can easily recommend your product page or service page driving their fans and followers to it. These could result in massive sale if you play it right.
2. Saves Cost
website also has a cost saving benefit. It saves cost on marketing since you can now target consumers more accurately online and benefit from viral marketing from social media. A website also reduces the cost of educating and informing customers.
You no longer need to spend so much on printed materials as some of your customers can access information from your website. Just update your website and it is accessible to all.

3. Free Viral Marketing
Word of mouth sells. People are more likely to buy stuff if recommended by a friend. Although word of mouth, sales can also occur offline, the internet creates the possibility of speedy viral marketing.
An interesting news about your business or a product you just launched can go viral on social media sites.
Your business website makes it easier for people to spread information about your business. They can easily share links from your website with their friends and their friends with their friends and so on on BBM, WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. And you do not have to pay for it they are doing it because it is interesting to them.
4. Customer Friendly
website makes your business more customer friendly. Customers deserve to know what is going on in your business like new products, price changes, new offices, changes in contact phone number and email, etc and your website is a good platform to inform and educate customers.
Without a website, customers can’t get up to date information about your business. Imagine a customer not being able to reach you through an old phone number you left in an old ad campaign in a newspaper.
That is very wicked of you. The customer is king and should not be toyed with. Build a business website,’ and update it regularly too.

5. Promote Your Contacts
A business website will enable you populate the web with your office addresses and other channels through which customers can reach you.
Consumers who have heard of your business from a friend or from your offline campaigns may want to reach you. Can they? If they cannot reach you, they will most definitely reach your competitor who has made the smart investment on a website.

I hope with these reasons above, if you have no website for your business, you should give it a second thought. If you have any thoughts or opinions as regards the above post, kindly comment below.

List Of Countries Where Whatsapp Has Been Banned

http://www.appcreator24.com/apk/app708243.apk

WHATSAPP is currently the world’s most popular chat medium, about 1.5 billion users around the globe. However, some people are yet to know that WhatsApp has been banned in certain countries. We have  mapped the regions where WhatsApp is blocked.

It is no good news for social networking and communication apps to be banned in multiple countries. The main reason cited behind such communication restrictions are concerns over national security. Other countries claim such chat app bans help support local telecommunication companies. Below are the list of countries where using WhatsApp is restricted or totally banned.

North Korea

North Korea is permanently under the international spotlight due to dictatorial leader Kim Jong Un’s bellicose rhetoric and military grandstanding.
Censorship in North Korea ranks among some of the most extreme in the world.
In a country where citizens are starved of any information other than government propaganda, the internet too is dictated by the needs of the state.
This is why North Korea offers only limited access to social networks like Facebook and WhatsApp.

Cuba

Cuba has dramatically restricted the usage of internet and chat platforms.
Censorship in Cuba is extensive, has resulted in European Union sanctions and statements of protest from governments around the world.
Cuba consequently ranks low in the Press Freedom Index.
In Cuba, only politicians, journalists and select students are legally eligible to access the internet and social platforms like WhatsApp.
The surprising reasons cited are not political concerns, but the high cost of internet usage which is said to exceed the average salary of Cuban residents.

Iran

Censorship in Iran is extensive, with Reporters Without Borders describing Iran as “one of the world’s most repressive countries for journalists for the past 40 years”.
The blocking of WhatsApp has been seen in Iran on a number of occasions.
Little reason has been given, but it is most likely due to security and censorship concerns.

Syria

Internet censorship in Syria is extensive, with the war-torn country banning websites for political reasons and arrests people accessing them.
Besides WhatsApp, Syria has also blocked websites like YouTube and Facebook.

UAE

The blocking of voice and video calling through WhatsApp is common, with the promotion of local telecommunication service providers with the supposed reason.
UAE has a history of welcoming residents from countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh who frequently use WhatsApp to connect with their family and friends, resulting in the loss in profits for local UAE telecommunication companies.

China
WhatsApp has been blocked by the Chinese Government during political campaigns because of the chat app’s strong encryption features.
The Chinese government censors content for mainly political reasons, but also to maintain its control over the populace. However, according to previous trends in China, these WhatsApp bans are usually only temporary and usually lifted within a few months.

Apple Is Offering One Million Dollars To Anyone That Can Hack an iPhone

Apple Is Offering One Million Dollars To Anyone That Can Hack an iPhone

Apple is making some major changes to the bug-bounty program it introduced in 2016, including the introduction of a new million-dollar reward.

Apple has massively increased the amount it’s offering hackers for finding vulnerabilities in iPhones and Macs, up to $1 million. It’s by far the highest bug bounty on offer from any major tech company.
The company says it will pay out $1 million to security researchers who can carry out what is known as a zero-click full chain kernel execution attack with persistence. That means anyone who can get to the core of Apple's iOS operating system and gain control of an iPhone in a way that wouldn't require any user interaction would be eligible for the payout, as Forbes and TechCrunch explain.

That's a substantial difference from the $200,000 maximum it paid out to researchers when the program launched. It's also the biggest bug-bounty reward offered by a major technology company, according to Forbes. Those who spot a vulnerability in a beta version of Apple's software before it launches can also receive a 50% bonus.

Apple announced the changes to its bug-bounty program during the Black Hat cybersecurity conference in Las Vegas alongside other critical updates.

In addition to the new $1 million reward, Apple also revealed that it's expanding the program to its other platforms such as macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, the software that powers its Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch products. The company is also nixing the program's invite-only requirement and is opening it to all researchers who wish to participate.

A New Operating System Has Been Launched To Battle Android and iOS

Chinese telecom giant Huawei unveiled its own operating system on Friday, as it faces the threat of losing access to Google’s Android platform amid escalating US-China trade tensions.

The highly anticipated operating system is considered crucial for the tech titan’s survival as it confronts a looming White House ban on US companies selling technology products to Huawei which could remove its access to Android.

Richard Yu, the head of Huawei’s consumer business, revealed HarmonyOS — HongMeng in Chinese — at a press conference in the southern city of Dongguan.

He said the first version would launch later this year in its smart screen products, before expanding across a range of smart devices including wearable technology over the next three years.
Huawei's new Operating System will be replacing the company's use of Android. Huawei has been working on its new operating system since earlier this year when a ban was placed on its use of, and collaboration with, American hardware and software companies.

Yu also shared the information that the operating system could be 'deployed' and used at any time, which is handy if Android is no longer accessible to Huawei devices.
It's still unsure when and if Google will fully remove the use of Android on Huawei's devices, but if it does happen, at least we now know they'll be ready for it.

UBA Plans To Create Ebay And Alibaba For Africa

UBA PLANS To Create EBay and Alibaba For Africa.

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc says it plans to create Africa’s version of Alibaba and ebay by supporting the entrepreneurial potential of African youths.
The Group Managing Director, UBA, Mr Kennedy Uzoka, disclosed this yesterday in Abuja at the opening of the UBA Market Place. He said Africa’s youths were full of ideas that could change the standard of living and reduce poverty on the continent and that was why the bank was passionate about supporting Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).

He said that the desire to make more money available to SMEs by the bank was taken with a view to stimulating and deepening the African economy. In Nigeria alone, it was revealed that about N50 billion had been set aside from the bank’s portfolio for SMEs financing.
The UBA Market Place which debuted for the first time in the country in Abuja is an entrepreneurial fair, with exhibitors from 20 African countries, taking place on the sidelines of the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Forum.

Uzoka added that UBA had taken steps to make SMEs more viable and better established across Africa. According to him, UBA banks “a lot of customers across the continent and in doing that, we have discovered that there is a gap in the business value chain. That void we discovered is how to bring more buyers and sellers together and that is what we have done today.”

Also at the event, the UBA Group Head Retail Banking, Mr Jude Anele, stated that 10 per cent of the bank’s total balance sheet had been earmarked to support SMEs in countries where the bank operates in Africa. The countries are Nigeria, Chad, Cote D’ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Senegal, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Congo Brazzaville, France, Guinea Conakry, Kenya and Mali.

The iPhone 11 Max is expected to go official around the 12th of September and should be joined by the standard iPhone 11 and the cheaper iPhone 11R. Pre-orders for the devices are expected to kick off towards the end of that same week and should be followed up by a launch on Friday, September 20th.

If everything goes ahead as planned, there’s a very high chance the smartphones will be joined by the Apple Watch Series 5 and a new 10.2-inch iPad.

IPhone 11 max provides an allegedly accurate depiction of both the front and rear of Apple’s next-gen flagship. It coincides perfectly with previous CAD-based renders of the smartphone and also corrects some of the errors present on the Chinese clones that have been circulating online recently.

Looking at the phone’s back panel, its instantly obvious that the new camera module of iPhone 11 max is just as massive as first expected. It sits right along the edge of the top-left corner and houses a total of three sensors which have been triangularly arranged. Per leaked information, the iPhone 11 Max will feature three 12-megapixel cameras of similar characteristics but with some fundamental differences. One of the sensors will act as the primary one and support optical image stabilization, while the second one looks set to inherit a telephoto lens that’ll offer 2x optical zoom

Regarding the third camera, reports suggest Apple wasn’t able to include optical image stabilization. Nevertheless, it’ll feature a new super-wide-angle lens that’ll allow the latest flagships to compete more directly with Samsung and Huawei’s latest offerings. All of the cameras are accompanied by a large quad-LED flash and a small microphone. Also, circling back to the physical appearance, the module itself is actually pretty thin despite its overall size and looks set to be Apple’s thinnest camera in years.
